13th August 2025 - (Hong Kong) The stock market in Hong Kong continues its positive streak, with the Hang Seng Index opening with a rise of 206 points or 0.83%, reaching 25,176 points. The H-share index also saw an increase of 72 points or 0.81%, reaching 8,989 points, while the technology index rose by 51 points or 0.94%, hitting 5,490 points.
In the tech sector, Tencent closed the day with a 1.52% increase, Alibaba surged by 2.92%, Kuaishou rose by 1.68%, Meituan climbed by 1.34%, and Xiaomi Group saw a rise of 1.16%.
Among financial stocks, there were individual developments with HSBC Holdings rising by 0.8%, China Ping An up by 0.72%, and Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing increasing by 0.74%. However, AIA Group experienced a slight decline of 0.2%.
