Investing - Russia stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Mining, Oil & Gas and Power sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Moscow, the MOEX Russia Index fell 0.64%.
The best performers of the session on the MOEX Russia Index were PIK SHb PJSC , which rose 0.17% or 0.90 points to trade at 544.60 at the close. Meanwhile, GDR ROS PLC ORD SHS unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 points to end at 1,083.80 and TATNEFT na VD Shashin Pref was down 0.03% or 0.20 points to 574.60 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were AK ALROSA PJSC , which fell 3.59% or 0.93 points to trade at 24.94 at the close. Magnit PJSC declined 3.13% or 73.50 points to end at 2,272.00 and Moskovskiy Kreditnyi Bank PAO was down 3.08% or 0.23 points to 7.34.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Moscow Stock Exchange by 159 to 77 and 14 ended unchanged.

The Russian Volatility Index - RVI, which measures the implied volatility of MOEX Russia Index options, was up 2.21% to 24.50.
Gold Futures for August delivery was down 1.27% or 57.20 to $4,462.70 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 2.60% or 2.44 to hit $96.20 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract fell 0.80% or 0.78 to trade at $97.12 a barrel.
USD/RUB was unchanged 0.00% to 73.81, while EUR/RUB unchanged 0.00% to 85.61.
