Hong Kong stocks finished slightly higher Tuesday after a sharp drop the day before, with focus on an upcoming policy decision by the Federal Reserve later in the week.
The Hang Seng Index edged up 0.37 percent, or 66.62 points, to 17,997.17.
However, the Shanghai Composite Index was marginally lower, inching down 0.98 points to 3,124.96, while the Shenzhen Composite Index on China's second exchange shed 0.88 percent, or 16.83 points, to 1,904.65.
