Investing - Brazil stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Consumption, Public Utilities and Real Estate sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Sao Paulo, the Bovespa lost 0.03%.
The best performers of the session on the Bovespa were Marfrig Global Foods, which rose 4.06% or 0.59 points to trade at 15.11 at the close. Meanwhile, Usinas Siderurgicas de Minas Gerais SA USIMINAS Pref added 3.68% or 0.30 points to end at 8.46 and CSN Mineracao SA was up 3.53% or 0.19 points to 5.58 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Hypera SA, which fell 5.51% or 1.18 points to trade at 20.24 at the close. Rede D'Or So Luiz SA declined 4.32% or 1.53 points to end at 33.92 and YDUQS Participacoes SA was down 4.16% or 0.34 points to 7.83.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the B3 Stock Exchange by 517 to 386 and 48 ended unchanged.

The CBOE Brazil Etf Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, was up 0.17% to 29.37.
Gold Futures for August delivery was up 1.78% or 71.35 to $4,087.25 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 2.46% or 2.03 to hit $84.51 a barrel, while the September US coffee C contract fell 0.54% or 1.75 to trade at $322.80.
USD/BRL was down 0.35% to 5.07, while EUR/BRL fell 0.46% to 5.80.
