| Spain halts evictions of most vulnerable |

MADRID, Nov 15, 2012 (AFP)
Spain's right-leaning government announced Thursday a two-year moratorium on evictions of the most vulnerable homeowners unable to keep up with mortgage payments.
The government acted for "humanitarian reasons", Deputy Prime Minister Soraya Saenz de Santamaria told a news conference. Spaniards have been shocked by recent suicides of homeowners facing eviction.
